It was an ok movie. Which really bummed me out because I have loved Planet of the apes all my life. Unfortunately it was a thinly veiled attempt to retell Battle for the Planet of the Apes. They kept the war parts and threw away most of the story. The story line was extremely thin. Was basically humans find apes, apes tell humans stay away, apes humans fight, done. No character development. The only characters \I found myself caring about were Caesar and Maurice. But not for anything they did in this film, but because of the love of the character that I developed in the first one. Its sad, it could have been a great movie, but the lake of story and memorable characters really hurt the flick.

    • Yep, yep and yep. I know opinions are meant to be subjective but you’re 100% correct.
